RWC has a knowledge in running formative and informative research on the WASH topic related, the research informs RWC decision making and informs recommendation for development strategy of program design and strengthening the current program implementation. The recent studies on (Roof harvesting: Community perception of traditional rainwater harvesting), the outcome of research informed RWC to continued develop its program with product testing on underground rainwater tank pilot project that could supply rainwater for domestic use. In addition, the development of community led approach has been developed and sought for support to implement in rural Cambodia
RWC has provided various qualitative and quantitative researches on WASH related topic. In 2017, the Water Supply Program Study on “Key actors opinion of successful water supply implementation in school and community in rural Cambodia” was conducted
with support from World Food Program (WFP).

Water supply program

Providing access to clean
drinking water is a main aim of rainwater harvesting formalization in rural Cambodia. RWC promotes risk-managed rainwater harvestings system capture the large rainfall in Cambodia and store enough water to last through the dry season. The risk management approach prevents contamination during storage ensures that the water stays safe to drink. RWC has provided RWH systems for households, schools and health centres and since 2004, over 2800 oxymetholone reviews training frequency to gain household systems and over 290 institutional systems have
been installed throughout Cambodia.

PHENG Kea: Executive Director
Kea has a strong educational background in agriculture, business administration and development study including in Cambodia and Switzerland. Kea has knowledge on the development context in lower and middle income countries and their efforts and context in achieving the sustainable development goals. With almost 15 years of experience in related fields, Kea has a strong background in organizational management, qualitative research and strategic development, project design and integrated rural development programs including agriculture
and livelihood community organizing, water and sanitation engineering, behaviour change and supply chain development.
CHEY RakSmey: WASH Program Coordinator – (Program planning, operation and stakeholder engagement)
Raksmey volunteered with RWC from 2010 until 2016 and has a strong experience with Children on WASH and in hands on facilities field work. In August 2018, Raksmey was successfully awarded the position of Program Coordinator and is highly committed to support the RWC program planning and providing back support to the project staff in servicing the development partners and community groups. Currently she is in charge in the project name “Improving the health situation in western Cambodia though WASH capacity building in community health centers and communities” as a deputy of project manager base in Banteay Meanchey province.

Chantrea received a bachelor’s degree of Finance & Bank at the National University of Management and has been working with RWC since 2013. As well as managing RWC finances, Chantrea is in charge in office management and administration and she represents RWC well to our development partners by giving high quality presentation on RWC’s financial procedures and reporting.
TENG Phearom: WASH Officer – (Stakeholders engagement, WASH training, O&M plan)

Phearom has a strong expertise in working on the ground with various stakeholders, in particular the community organizing and training workshop on WASH provided for targeted groups. With 30 years of experience, 25 years in areas of WASH, he also provides technical expertise in borehole drilling, operation and maintenance to line government departments, NGOs and partners in development.
